Devi Mamak ist eine wunderschöne Tänzerin und Lehrerin, die in den Blue Mountains in der Nähe von Sydney, Australien wohnt. Seit langer Zeit tanzt sie FCBD®Style und durch den Einfluss von Tanzstilen wie Flamenco und indischen Tanz hat sie einen eigenen Dialect entwickelt. In diesem Workshop werde ich eure Gehirne durch einige ihrer zahlreichen Steps und spannende Formationen stimulieren: Es wird herausfordernd und fantastisch!

Devi Mamak is a beautiful dancer and teacher who lives in the Blue Mountains near Sydney, Australia. She has been dancing FCBD® style for a long time and, influenced by dance styles such as flamenco and Indian dance, has developed her own dialect. In this workshop, I will stimulate your brains with some of her numerous steps and exciting formations: it will be challenging and fantastic! It will be the new steps from her DVD. The list of steps will be published soon.

Wenn der erste Teil euch gefallen hat, werdet ihr den Zweiten lieben!
Dieser Workshop baut sich auf das am 18. Mai 2025 stattgefundenen Säbelworkshop auf. Wir werden Melody Orullian Bustillos Sacred Sword Dialect für Doppelsäbel weiter erkunden und neue Säbelpositionen und Moves lernen: Doppelte Anzahl an Säbel, doppelter Spaß! Keine Bange, wer beim ersten WS nicht dabei war, wird trotzdem gut mitkommen :)
Die folgende Moves sind erforderlich:
- Arm Position: Taxeem, Arm Undulations, Bodywave, Torso Rotation / Twist, Circle Step, Reverse Turn, Corkscrew Turn, Ribcage Rotation, The Rainbow

This workshop builds on the first workshop that took place on May 18, 2025. We'll continue exploring Melody Orullian Bustillo's Sacred Sword Dialect for double sword and learn new sword moves. Double swords, double fun!

Hear the Siren Call! Basics of Fan Dialect by The Siren Project, featuring Elena Sapega
The fan is one of the most popular dance props in many dance styles, such as Flamenco, Classical Ballet, traditional dances from Mexico, China and many others. For several years, dancing with a fan has also captivated dancers of FCBD® Inspired dialects. The Siren Project Fan Dialect is today's most commonly known one among them, since it's also the most structured and has the largest step vocabulary of all.
During this weekend, Elena Sapega, a certified teacher and international representative of the Siren Project Fan Dialect, will introduce you to this magical style of FCBD® Inspired dialects. We will take 6 hours on two days to familiarise ourselves with the general characteristics of Flamenco Fan as a dance prop (proper holding positions, basic lines and dynamics, opening and closing the fan smoothly) as well as with basic steps of both slow and fast vocabulary.

Workshop 3 - First Complex Steps and Variations:
- Slow Variations Level 2: Duet Passing and Circling with Slow Fan Dialect Steps
- Fast Steps Level 2: Double Turn, Resham-Ka / Resham-Ka into Spins, Roundhouse, Single Bump 1/2 Turn aka "Locomia", Triangle Step; Bonus: Fading, Circling and Shellgame with Fast Fan Dialect Steps
If you have no previous experience with the Fan Dalect, we recommend that you take all three workshops starting with workshop one. Since it's not always easy to predict the learning tempo of each group, the aforementioned contents of each workshop are not definitive. These are just meant to give you a rough overview of each workshop topic. Please note that, depending on many unforeseeable factors, these contents are subject to change.
Please bring a notebook, water, and a large flamenco fan (28-32 cm long). If you don't have a fan, you can borrow one for the duration of the workshops.

"Needle in a Haystack" (Nadel im Heuhaufen) ist ein Workshop, der sich der genauen und pingeligen Technik widmet. In jedem Workshop können die Veranstalter*innen und/oder die Teilnehmer*innen entscheiden, welche Bewegungen unterrichtet werden, um sie tief in Details zu lernen. Je weniger Bewegungen, desto besser! Wir wollen uns nicht beeilen, sondern uns genug Zeit lassen für die Erklärung jeder Bewegung, für Fragen und für Drills.
1. Workshop - Slow Edition: 10 bis 12 Uhr
2. Workshop - Fast Edition: 13 bis 15 Uhr

Weekend at the Queen's Court
Welcome to the royal experience:The amazing Yuri Ferretti is coming to Hannover bringing along six hours of FCBD® inspired dialect formation goodness!
Queen's Court is a dialect formation (or rather, a series of formations) created by the brilliant mind of Melody Bustillos, mother of the official FatChanceBellyDance® Sword Dialect. These formations work really well on stage and even better in an all-around audience situation. They allow the interaction of up to 16 dancers, allowing us to expand the FCBD® repertoire.
In this workshop series, we'll work with Queen's Court 6 and 12 in their Duet variation. Each workshop will build onto the previous, so we suggest that you sign up for all of them.
N.B.: Queen's Court is a complex concept that will take you out of your FCBD® comfort zone. We will adjust the workshop pace to our needs.
